Sweet Tea

I would like to start off my saying I forgot to take a picture of this delicious beverage in a cup (I’m terrible, what can I say lol). This sweet tea recipe is not ours and in no way are we claiming it. I did one thing different than the instructions, which was dissolve the sugar while the water was boiling. I give all credit to the website I found it on, you can find the link at the bottom of this post.

I will admit I have a thing for Sweet Tea, whether it be Mcdonalds or Arizona. I love them both! So instead of spending $1 every time I want sweet tea, I figured making it myself would be better. Without further ado below is the recipe.

  • 6 Lipton tea bags
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 4 quarts of water

    1. Bring 4 quarts of water to a rapid boil.

    1. Once the water reaches a boil, pour in 2 cups of sugar and stir until dissolved.

    1. Turn off the stove and take the pot off of the hot burner and put the 6 tea bags in the hot water to seep for an hour.

  1. After the hour has passed take out the tea bags and put into your preferred container or pitcher of choice.
  2. Serve over ice.
